GAIN Equine Nutrition Continues to Support Point-to-Point Racing with \u20ac3,000 Bonus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

GAIN Equine Nutrition is proud to announce the continuation of its long-standing support for the point-to-point sector with the launch of the 35th annual \u2018GAIN Mares Series\u2019 for the 2024\/2025 season. The season will kick off with the opening racing taking place at \u2018Lisronagh\u2019 on the 2nd<\/sup> of November, home of the Tipperary Foxhounds point-to-point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final of the \u2018GAIN Mares Series\u2019 will take place next spring in Ballynoe, where a \u20ac3,000 bonus will be on offer for the winner of the Series. To qualify a mare for the final, all mares must be maiden mares at the start of the current point-to-point season and placed 1st<\/sup>, 2nd<\/sup> or 3rd<\/sup> in any fixture in the current point-to-point season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch of the 2024\/2025 \u2018GAIN Mares Series\u2019 took place at the scenic yard of leading p2p.ie Handler Colin Bowe, in Kiltealy, Co. Wexford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colin stated, \u201cThe GAIN Mares Series is a vital sponsorship for the grass roots of the point-to-point industry. Having a race for trainers, who have mares in training to target, is extremely important. I have a few mares in training at the moment which we hope to bring to the likes of the GAIN Mares Series race at Knockmullen House in November and Borris House in December. The bonus of \u20ac3,000 for the final in the spring is a huge boost for any trainer, I would encourage anyone with a suitable mare to target the Series.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sarah Madden of p2p.ie noted, \u201cThe series is hugely important to point-to-point racing in Ireland. It has such a history within the sport that few races have been able to maintain over such an extended period of time. The final at Ballynoe is a real community affair, perfectly encapsulating what makes the sport so special. Everyone is particularly looking forward to this 2025 final after the weather intervened and last season\u2019s fixture at Ballynoe had to be cancelled.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s fantastic to watch the mares who have won previous finals progress to winning Listed and Graded races.
